With counselling the support and guidance of an unbiased and objective professional can often make all the difference between overcoming life’s obstacles or succumbing to the heavy burden. At the heart of effective psychotherapy is the strong alliance built up between therapist and client. At Paul Adams Counselling and Psychotherapy in Galway, I build a collaborative, open and honest therapeutic relationship with clients to achieve personal growth and positive change. Gestalt therapy enables individuals and couples to develop new perspectives and bring transformative change into their lives.
Hello, I am Paul Adams, a fully qualified Gestalt psychotherapist and a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), a Certified Associate member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and member of the Board of the International Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (IAAGT).
The core philosophy of my practice is Gestalt Therapy which is centred on increasing a person’s awareness, freedom and self- direction – it focuses on the present moment rather than past experiences. At the core of Gestalt Therapy is the holistic view that we are intricately linked to and influenced by our environments and that all of us strive toward growth and balance. I work with compassion and strive to develop a connection with every client built on respect and honesty to support your healing.
I offer short and long-term counselling sessions for individuals or couples either online via the secure platform Zoom or in-person at my Galway-based private practice room.
Costs: €70 per session for individuals and €90 for couples.
